The Orca with a Gentle Heart
Opal is an orca with striking black-and-white markings, a powerful tail and a wonderfully gentle heart. She knows the ocean channels around Krillbee’s Antarctic home and can travel through deep water with ease. When a friend needs help, Opal is usually ready to lend a fin.
Her size makes some jobs simple and others hilariously difficult. Moving a large piece of ice? No trouble at all. Carrying one tiny, carefully balanced decoration without making a splash? That may require considerably more concentration. Opal takes both kinds of challenge seriously, especially when someone is counting on her.
She loves sharing tales of the sea, from curious creatures to surprising discoveries beneath the waves. Although she is one of the largest members of the group, Opal never forgets that even the smallest friend deserves to be heard. Her strength is impressive; her kindness is what makes her unforgettable.
